This is ****. I'm from just outside Byron and you have no idea what its like buddy. FAIL on the film. you need to learn more about a place before making a film about it.

i dont think you've seen the Byron you wanted to show….the life style just moved outside..no footage of the market drum partys either nor about the history of alternative movement which goes back to the aquaries festival nimbin.the healers the artists the crazy and the lazy ..it's a big world out there,,,,,yeah right…the surfers of course

Into snowboarding and I've been doing that for about 15 years, I got a vid up I took of some mates and me this year in NZ hiking, I lived there for 3 winters and love it there though I'm reduced to week holidays nowdays so you can't get as at one with the force as you get after a couple of months solid riding. I surf heaps here, even though it's close I don't surf the point as it's rammo constantly and I'd rather catch a beachy with just my mates than hassle at the pass, Tallows or the point.

yeah well it's mostly in the surf and if you surf you'll know where the frustration stems from. there's waves i won't/can't even surf these days. we certainly have it better then most though. definately keen to go jumping. what else do you do

on the plus side for you, you're a young guy that lives in a cool spot and has probably rooted a few swedish tourists on their way through no doubt so not all toursists are bad.
I see you're a fellow skydiver, I'll watch your vids when my broadband kicks back up to speed. I've got my own kit and done a fair few jumps at Byron which is another plus you've got going fo you!!. **** the idits fighting in the surf though, they don't represent most tourists.

I did my homework, I live at Lennox. Yeh I know dudes start fights but I also know that it's usually the crews from around here that start shit, crews from Lismore and Byron and Lennox that roam around causing **** because they're bored. Nearly every blue I ever see is some local giving it out after they got thrown out the pub. As for businesses, most small ones are locally owned. It's like anywhere, I bet your roots aren't tied to Byron by more than a generation either.

yeah it's not like we get drunk idiots every night starting fights, idiots fighting in the surf among many other things. and maybe 1% of people in this town own a business. you did your homework

yeh crappy tourists spending money in a town with no other form of industry and enjoying themselves.

byron bay is a yuppy town, with most houses at least owned by yuppy's. no one living here can afford to buy a house. thanks tourists

As A lad that grew up around NImbin Byron is Yuppy not hippy.

yeah i know!! nnimbin is a hippy town, and I got one doco ready about nimbin! (I'm making a documentary about australia in order to broadcast in france) But byron bay is a bit more popular and is quite hippy/tourist too!

byron bay isnt known as the hippy town of nsw. nimbin is.

Yep! We've got a few loonies for locals, but sadly no hippies. When you come to Byron be happy, respectful(note to Rex Hunt) and tidy (please drop your turds in a dunny or at Naths' door).
